Testing
Do I need to make an appointment?
No. We accept walk-ins from 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday-Friday. Appointments are only required for
hair tests and observed testing.
How long is the wait time at your office?
Usually there is no wait. You’ll be in and out of our office within 15 minutes.
Do you provide DOT Physicals?
No. We will direct you to a certified medical examiner for DOT physicals.
I’ve never had a urine drug test before. What should I expect?
Drink plenty of fluids before you come to our office so you are ready to urinate. Once here, you’ll be asked to empty your pockets and remove outerwear, and will then be handed a collection cup to provide a urine specimen. Standard collections are not observed.
What if I can’t provide a urine sample?
You’ll be asked to remain at our office and drink water until you are ready to provide a sample. The waiting process often takes about one hour.
Do you process my specimen at your collection site?
Instant tests are processed at our site. Lab tests are sent overnight via FedEx to an HHS-certified lab.
How long does it take to get test results?
For lab tests, typically results are ready within 1 to 3 business days. If a sample requires additional testing, it might take a week or longer to get results.
Do I get to see my results?
In most cases, results go directly to the paying party – usually the employer.
I take prescription medication. Do I need to bring it with me?
No. If anything shows up on your test as positive, a medical review officer will call to speak with you to verify your prescriptions. If your prescription matches what the results are showing, then your final drug test result will be negative.
Are false positives common?
No. Drug tests have cutoff levels to ensure that any findings below a certain level will not trigger a positive test. This prevents things like a poppy-seed muffin causing an opiate-positive result, or second-hand marijuana smoke causing a THC-positive result.
